Job summary

Pepperell Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role offers $23-$28/hour, based on experience, skill set, and credentialing, plus a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 for qualified candidates.

Credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply, and we are also open to experienced non-credentialed technicians or assistants with strong hands‑on veterinary hospital skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting.
• Credentialed status preferred, but not required.
• Ability to support appointments, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and treatment flow.
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
• Willingness to work evenings.

Responsibilities

• Support doctors during appointments and exams.
• Assist with patient handling, restraint, and treatment.
• Prepare patients, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Support surgical mornings, including patient prep and recovery.
• Assist with dentistry, diagnostics, and in-house lab work.
• Place IV catheters and assist with anesthesia and recovery.
• Run technician appointments such as nail trims, vaccines, boosters, and other routine care.
• Maintain smooth treatment flow throughout the day.
• Monitor patients and report changes to the medical team.
