White Oak Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care and exceptional service in a busy practice. The role supports veterinarians with patient exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, while maintaining accurate records and client communication.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of veterinary experience, be able to handle animals compassionately, and comply with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of veterinary experience.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Veterinary Technician

Salary: $17 - $19 per hour, determined by the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full time position. The hospital’s operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Shift times may vary based on operational and staffing needs and may include 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, 9:00 AM-7:00 PM, or 8:00 AM-8:00 PM. Candidates must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts within the hospital’s operating hours, including rotating Saturday coverage.
