Job summary

VCA Metzger Animal Hospital in State College, PA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our medical team. We are a state-of-the-art facility offering 24-hour care with on-site emergency doctors and technicians.

Ideal candidates hold CVT/RVT/LVT credentials and will perform anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, dentistry, radiology, and lab work while delivering compassionate client service.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician with CVT/RVT/LVT credentials.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
• Ability to assist in anesthesia, surgery, radiology, dentistry, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and support teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during procedures.
• Perform nursing tasks: radiology, dentistry, lab work, venipuncture, and catheter placement.
• Support hospitalized patients and communicate with pet owners.

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Medical Team!

Location: 1044 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801

Compensation: the pay range for this position is $18-$24/hr

VCA Metzger is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join the team in State College PA! We are a state of the art facility equipped with advance diagnostic tools which allows us to provide support to both routine and critical patient needs. We have 24-hour care with an emergency doctor and technicians on site at ALL times. In addition to our Feline Friendly and AAHA accreditations, VCA Metzger Animal Hospital is a Level III VECCS (Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society) Certified Veterinary Emergency Hospital.
