The Highlands Veterinary Hospital (NJ) is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.

We offer full-time and part-time positions with competitive hourly pay of $22-$25, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive

• At least 3 years of veterinary experience.
• Surgical experience required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Veterinary Technician

Salary: $22 - $25 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. $1,500 Sign On Bonus!

Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available.

• Part-Time (22.5-29 hrs/week): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday
• Full-Time (35-40 hrs/week): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday

Shift times are as follows:

• Monday - Wednesday: 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM
• Friday: 1:30 PM - 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
