Job summary

Description

Our hospital is seeking a Full‑Time Veterinary Technician to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast‑paced, multi‑doctor animal hospital. The Veterinary Technician assists Veterinarians in the care of animals, supports initial examinations, restrains animals when necessary, stocks examination and surgery rooms, sterilizes tools, and ensures equipment is in working order. Technical skills include venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia administration and monitoring, dental prophylaxis, radiography, medication administration, laboratory analysis, and client education. The Veterinary Technician also communicates with clients and updates patient files.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Veterinarians with animal examinations and procedures.
  • Restrict animals during procedures when necessary.
  • Stock and prepare examination and surgery rooms.
  • Sterilize tools and maintain equipment.
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia administration and monitoring.
  • Conduct dental prophylaxis and radiography.
  • Administer medications and perform laboratory analysis.
  • Provide client education and update patient records.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Prior customer service experience.

  • Regular on‑site presence required for patient care, response to time‑sensitive needs, collaboration with clinical teams, and maintenance of safety.
  • Current state licensure in good standing for Veterinary Technician roles.
