Job summary

Northside Veterinary Clinic in Brooklyn is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician or License Eligible Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.

You will safely handle animals, perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, IV catheter placement, and maintain accurate medical records while communicating clearly with clients.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician certification is required or license eligibility in New York.
• Surgical experience is required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Job description

Salary: $24 - $42 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full-time position averaging 35–40 hours per week, four 10-hour shifts. Candidates must have availability Monday through Friday (8:45 AM–6:00 PM) and Saturdays (8:45 AM–4:00 PM).
