Job summary

Penny Paws Animal Clinic – Fort Worth is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate and collaborative team. In a modern hospital setting, you will support veterinarians during exams, assist with surgeries, and manage patient records while delivering exceptional care to every patient.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous Veterinary Technician experience required.
  • Strong surgical and anesthesia monitoring skills.
  • Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, lab work, and pharmacology preferred.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Positive attitude and collaborative mindset.
  • Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Anesthetize, monitor, maintain, and recover surgical patients perioperatively.
  • Obtain patient histories, vitals, temperatures, and diagnostic samples.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory work, and radiology.
  • Prepare medications, vaccines, and preventative care treatments.
  • Safely restrain patients while minimizing stress and promoting safety.
  • Clean and prepare exam rooms following OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support efficient hospital workflow.
