Job summary

Dade City Animal Clinic Pa is seeking a veterinary technician to join our growing, patient-centered team north of Tampa. You'll assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgeries while maintaining compassionate client communication and accurate record-keeping.

We welcome experienced technicians with CVT/RVT/LVT or eligibility to obtain licensure, and a degree from AVMA-accredited programs is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician. Nurturing approach to animal care.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for client and staff interactions.
• CVT/RVT/LVT certification preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and maintain a clean, organized work area.
