Job summary

Crestwood Animal Hospital in Crestwood, KY is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team and grow with us, using and expanding your skills alongside our veterinarians.

As a Licensed Technician you’ll perform diagnostic sample collection, venipuncture, radiography, anesthesia and pain management, dental radiology, and preventative care in our AAHA-accredited, Cat-Friendly hospital serving dogs, cats and exotics.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2 years experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong patient care skills and ability to educate clients.
• Ability to work well in a team and uphold hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic sample collection, catheter placement, venipuncture, radiography, anesthesia and pain management, dental radiology, and prophylactic cleanings.
• Collaborate closely with veterinarians to elevate medical standards.
• Advocate for patients and educate clients on treatment and care.

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician at our hospital, you'll have the chance to showcase your expertise, collaborate closely with our veterinarians and elevate our medical standards. You'll serve as a vital patient advocate, delivering compassionate nursing care that encompasses a diverse range of your technical skills including diagnostic sample collection, catheter placement, venipuncture, radiography, anesthesia and pain management, dental radiology, and prophylactic cleanings.

Located just outside of Louisville, our multi-doctor hospital is AAHA-accredited, Cat-Friendly, and Free-Free Certified; we provide top-tier medical care to canine, feline, and exotic patients. Our beautiful, spacious facility offers a full range of diagnostic tools and services including dentistry, digital x-rays, oncology, ultrasonography, therapeutic laser, grooming, physical rehab including an underwater treadmill, and house calls for end-of-life care. We are proud to partner with Oldham County Humane Society, Paws with Purpose, Dogs Helping Heroes, and many more. We even treat the police dogs of the Oldham County Police Department!

Who you are:
