Job summary

Animal Hospital of North Charleston is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and support to veterinarians. The role emphasizes safe animal handling, client communication, and accurate record-keeping.

This position offers a competitive hourly salary ($17.00-$19.00), full-time schedule Monday–Friday with alternating Saturdays, and a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• LVT certification preferred and licensed to practice.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians.
• Familiarity with DEA and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate care instructions and status updates to clients.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
