Austin Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital in Austin, TX is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our full-time team. The successful candidate will assist veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and monitoring, perform in-house diagnostics, and provide patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

We offer a negotiable salary based on experience, 4- or 5-day work weeks with close schedules including 8-7 or 10-7 shifts and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Surgery and anesthesia monitoring experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, surgery, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Perform diagnostic procedures including lab work and imaging.
• Provide high-quality nursing care and patient monitoring.
• Administer medications and ensure accurate treatment protocols.
• Support client communication and education.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment environment.

Our clients appreciate our commitment to provide all veterinary services in one location on the same day (in most cases). We have a full suite of diagnostic technology enabling us to conduct ALL procedures in-house for client convenience. This includes a CT scan, an ultrasound machine, endoscope/arthroscope equipment, a CO2 surgical laser, a dental xray handgun, a fully equipped laboratory, and more!!
