Job summary

Parker Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, shows compassion handling animals, and communicates clearly with clients about care and progress.

You will assist veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and lab work, maintain records, and help keep rooms clean and stocked. We offer benefits, PTO, a 401(k), and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Veterinary Technician

Salary: $19-$23 per hour, based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. $1,000 Sign On Bonus!

Schedule: This position offers a consistent two-week rotating schedule with four shifts per week. Shift start times may be as early as 7:00 AM and end as late as 6:00 PM, depending on the needs of the clinic, with shift lengths ranging from 7–10 hours. Alternating Saturdays are required, and the clinic is closed on Sundays.
