Job summary

Caring Hands Clarendon is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited practice in Arlington, VA. The role supports veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, while maintaining records and client communication.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
• Experience in animal care and client communication.
• Familiarity with DEA and OSHA safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Salary: $25.00-45.00 per hour dependent on experience and skill. $3000 sign on bonus

Schedule: This is a full-time position averaging 32-40 hours per week, Monday- Friday 7:30AM-8PM, Saturdays 8AM-4PM
