Job summary

Caring Hands Clarendon is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. You will assist veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, while maintaining accurate medical records and effective client communication.

The ideal candidate holds an LVT cert, can handle animals safely, and stays current with DEA/OSHA and safety guidelines in a AAHA-accredited hospital.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Salary: $25.00-45.00 per hour dependent on experience and skill. $3000 sign on bonus
