Job summary

The South Atlanta Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our 24/7 ER and specialty team. You will work within a modern, well‑equipped facility and collaborate with a broad network of veterinary professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Candidates must be a DVM/VMD, licensed in good standing, with a DEA license or eligibility, and either board‑certified in veterinary surgery or residency‑trained.

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD or equivalent degree is required.
  • State license in good standing for the hiring state.
  • Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Provide surgical care as Veterinary Surgeon within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with specialists to deliver high‑quality patient outcomes.
  • Support education and mentorship within the clinical team.

Education

Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, before their start date.
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
  • Board CertifiedVeterinary Surgeon or Residency Trained Veterinarian.
