Job summary

Hill Country Animal Hospital, part of the NVA family, offers a paid summer opportunity for veterinary students to observe day-to-day hospital operations and contribute to high-quality patient care. This summer program invites enrolled AVMA veterinary students to apply for a Veterinary Assistant/Technician role.

The position provides hands-on experience in a supportive environment with a focus on excellent medicine and client service for animals and their families.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled veterinary student in an AVMA college of veterinary medicine.
• Interest in hands-on clinical veterinary care and animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with routine exams and procedures.
• Provide patient care and client communication under supervision.
• Support hospital operations during the summer program.
