Job summary

VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Specialty Medical Director to lead the hospital's clinical quality while continuing to practice veterinary medicine.

You'll be supported by a Regional Medical Director and a team of specialists across Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Surgery, Neurology, Medical & Radiation Oncology, and Emergency/Critical Care, with access to world-class facilities and technology.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine with good standing in California.
• Residency trained or board-certified (Diplomate) in a specialty.

Responsibilities

• Lead medical direction and maintain high clinical standards for the hospital.
• Continue to practice veterinary medicine while leading a specialty team.
• Collaborate with Regional Medical Director and VCA network to advance hospital quality.

Education

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Licensure in good standing to practice in California

Residency Trained or Diplomate Board Certification
