Job summary

Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center in Troutdale, OR is seeking an outgoing Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to welcome clients and support daily operations. You will manage appointments, answer multi-line phones, handle transactions, and provide information about our services.

  • 2+ years in customer service, reception, or client-facing roles.
  • Veterinary receptionist or healthcare front-desk experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and compassionate service.
  • Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred.
  • Ability to process payments and maintain records.

Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center is seeking an outgoing Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment.

Schedule And Compensation
  • Compensation: $19-24 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a flexible position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, no weekends!

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
  • Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations
    • Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred
    • Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
    • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team
