Job summary

The Vet Service in Berkeley, CA is seeking a board-certified Veterinary Radiologist to join a busy emergency and specialty referral facility. You will manage a varied referral caseload, work with an established radiologist, and contribute specialist expertise to advanced diagnostic investigations.

The role offers collaboration with surgery, oncology, ophthalmology and exotic animal medicine, plus opportunities to influence imaging service development and education for veterinary students.

Qualifications

• Diplomate status in Veterinary Radiology or completion of recognised specialist residency in diagnostic imaging.
• DVM degree or equivalent with eligibility to obtain California veterinary licence.
• Advanced expertise in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies including CT and radiography.
• Excellent clinical communication and ability to discuss complex imaging findings with referring veterinarians.
• Collaborative approach to patient care with enthusiasm for teaching and maintaining high diagnostic standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret CT, radiographs and other imaging modalities for diverse referral cases.
• Collaborate with surgery, oncology, ophthalmology and exotic animal specialists for multidisciplinary discussions.
• Contribute to veterinary student education and professional learning.
• Assist in developing and expanding imaging services within the facility.
