Job summary

Melbourne Animal Referral Service is seeking an oncologist to join our multidisciplinary, private referral hospital in Hawthorn East. The role supports a high-volume cancer caseload with excellent clinical and nursing support, a collaborative team, and opportunities for teaching residents.

The position can be full-time or part-time. We prioritize work-life balance with no weekend or on-call requirements and offer relocation and CPD support to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Specialist in oncology with relevant board qualifications or eligibility.
• Experience delivering evidence-based cancer care in a referral setting.
• Strong communication with clients, referring vets and team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive oncology consultations, staging, and treatment planning.
• Plan chemotherapy and other advanced anti-cancer therapies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, internal medicine specialists, and radiologists.
• Mentor residents and support junior staff through education.
