Job summary

The Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Oncologist to lead and grow our Oncology service in a privately owned multidisciplinary hospital on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Residents completing an Oncology residency are encouraged to apply, and we support the transition to specialty practice. This role offers clinical autonomy, strong referral demand, and the opportunity for future ownership in a collaborative, advanced facility.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required and board certification in oncology (DACVIM) or residency-trained.
• Ability to lead and grow an oncology service in a private practice setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the oncology service in a privately owned hospital.
• Develop and maintain a high-referral oncology caseload.
• Collaborate with surgery, radiology, and critical care teams.
• Provide advanced diagnostic and treatment options for small animals.
