Job summary

Garden State Veterinary Specialists Eatontown is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our ICU team, providing critical care, monitoring, and advanced support in a teaching-focused hospital.

You will work with board-certified specialists in a state-of-the-art facility, performing anesthesia, monitoring, and diagnostic duties to improve patient outcomes and support our clients and patients daily.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Veterinary Technician with ICU experience is required.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and organized with strong communication.
• Compassionate, positive, and committed to high-quality patient care.
• Experience with anesthesia, sedation, or related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up CRIs and perform medical calculations.
• Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate care.

About You

• Certification as a Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, or 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate, positive, honest, and committed to providing excellent care
• Anesthesia, sedation and procedures
• Setting up CRIs and performing medical calculations
• Placing IV catheters and managing fluid therapy
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and providing compassionate care
• Collecting diagnostic samples and maintaining records
• Radiology positioning and safety
• Preparing blood/plasma transfusions

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $23/hr - $34/hr + Overnight differential
• Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 for Full-Time Veterinary Technicians and $6,000 for Credentialed Veterinary Technicians
