Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health in West Caldwell, New Jersey, is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Neurologist to provide advanced neurologic care within a premier referral center.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, using on-site MRI, CT, and other resources to diagnose and treat complex cases. The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and ongoing clinical excellence.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Board Certification in Neurology (DACVIM‑Neurology) or Residency trained in Veterinary Neurology.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurologic disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and neuromuscular system in referral and emergency patients.
  • Perform advanced neurologic diagnostics and procedures, including MRI interpretation, CSF collection, electrodiagnostic testing, and neurosurgical interventions as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency & Critical Care, Anesthesia, and other specialty teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Utilize advanced hospital resources including MRI, CT, C-Arm imaging, and other specialty diagnostic technologies to support clinical decision‑making.
  • Provide neurology consultations for hospitalized and specialty patients while supporting continuity of care across hospital services.
  • Perform neurosurgical procedures and oversee perioperative management for patients requiring advanced neurologic intervention.
  • Build trusted relationships with referring veterinarians through consultation, collaborative case management, and proactive communication.
  • Guide pet owners through neurologic diagnoses, treatment recommendations, prognoses, and long-term management plans with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
  • Mentor technicians, assistants, interns, and support staff while fostering a culture of teamwork, learning, and clinical excellence.
  • Participate in continuing education, specialty rounds, mentorship initiatives, and collaborative case discussions that support both personal and hospital-wide growth.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while helping advance specialty neurology services within one of New Jersey's leading referral centers.

  • The anticipated starting base salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $200,000 to $230,000 per year.
In Your Day-to-day, You Will
