Sugar Land Veterinary Specialty and Emergency (SLVS) invites a full-time Veterinary Neurologist to join our premier multi-disciplinary hospital in the Houston area. Our 19,000-square-foot facility supports high-volume, high-complexity cases with a full ER/ICU team.

We emphasize daily rounds, peer mentoring, and structured career growth for clinicians and support staff. Providers benefit from a comprehensive package including board study opportunities and licensing coverage to advance expertise

Qualifications

• DVM degree and veterinary license to practice in the US.
• ACVIM board certification in Neurology or equivalent.
• Experience in a high-volume referral/emergency veterinary setting preferred.
• Ability to lead rounds, mentor staff, and collaborate across specialties.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Neurology Service and provide expert consults for complex cases.
• Oversee emergency and critical care neurology cases in a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in daily rounds and teaching for residents and interns.
• Collaborate with Surgery, Internal Medicine, ICU, and Imaging to optimize patient care.

Our facility is designed for high-volume, high-complexity cases, supported by a highly skilled team of anesthesia-focused surgery technicians and a dedicated central sterile supply team.

• Imaging Suite: 128-slice Siemens Cannon CT and 1.5T Phillips MRI on-site.
• Interventional Radiology: Genoray ZEN7000 C-arm with electric rotating table and fluoroscopic suite.
• Minimally Invasive Tools: Arthex surgical tower with laparoscopic, arthroscopic, and cystoscopic capabilities and Storz endoscopy tower with full respiratory, urinary, and gastrointestinal capabilities.
