Veterinary Specialty Hospital - Sorrento Valley in San Diego, CA, seeks a Veterinary Medical Oncologist for a full-time role. You will manage a diverse oncology caseload within a premier multidisciplinary hospital, collaborating with Radiation Oncology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Advanced Imaging to advance patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and California licensure eligibility.
• Board certification in Veterinary Medical Oncology (DACVIM – Oncology).
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Collaborative approach to multidisciplinary patient care.
• Interest in teaching, mentorship and/or clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse oncology caseload within a specialty and referral setting.
• Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Advanced Imaging.
• Develop clinical interests within Medical Oncology.
• Mentor technicians and client care teams.
• Participate in teaching programs for externs, rotating interns, specialty interns, and oncology residents.
• Engage in clinical research and Ethos Discovery initiatives.
