Qualifications

• DVM degree required and NY state veterinary license eligibility.
• Board Certification in Medical Oncology or residency training in Medical Oncology.
• Strong communication and client-centered care.
• Collaborative mindset with passion for ongoing learning and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse oncology caseload with evidence-based care for patients and families.
• Oversee chemotherapy protocols and multidisciplinary cancer treatment planning.
• Collaborate with Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Radiation Oncology, and Emergency services.
• Support clients through difficult diagnoses with clear and compassionate communication.
• Mentor technicians, interns, residents, and colleagues within LIVS teaching environment.
• Contribute to growth of the oncology service through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and coordinate staging and treatment planning.
