Job summary

Ethos is seeking an experienced veterinary oncologist to join a collaborative team at Care Center, with access to advanced technology and a Cincinnati sister hospital for expanded specialty services.

You will manage oncology cases, supervise chemotherapy protocols, and mentor staff while contributing to a positive hospital culture focused on collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Board Certification in Veterinary Medical Oncology or residency training in Veterinary Medical Oncology.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with experience managing oncology cases.
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and client centered approach.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient focused cancer care and quality of life.
  • Mentorship, continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.
  • Interest in contributing to the growth of an established Oncology service.
  • Desire to build lasting relationships with clients, patients, and referring veterinarians.

Responsibilities

  • Manage oncology cases in close collaboration with Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, and Critical Care.
  • Oversee chemotherapy protocols and ensure compliance with USP 800 safety standards.
  • Support daily client communication, including treatment updates, refills, and question triage.
  • Mentor chemo trained technicians, assistants, and support staff.
  • Pursue growth opportunities such as ultrasound training, ECT training, or clinical trial coordination.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

Join a collaborative team of experienced emergency doctors and specialists in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology, and Critical Care, with access to additional specialty services through our Cincinnati sister hospital.
