Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a compassionate Medical Director for Dana Park Veterinary Hospital in Redding, California. You will lead a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, partnering with the Hospital Manager and Regional Director to uphold the highest standards of patient care and client service.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic and surgical skills, excellent communication, and a track record of leadership in a veterinary setting.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university
• Current State Veterinary License required
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
• 3–5+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
• Exemplary communication and leadership for a hospital team

Responsibilities

• Maintains high quality progressive veterinary care.
• Oversees medical standards and quality of care; sets policies for medical practice.
• Ensures team alignment to deliver cohesive services.
• Recommends hospital inventory additions with leadership input.
• Budgets for new equipment and evaluates ROI.
• Mentors staff and leads DVM performance and production reviews.
