The Medical Director role at Washington County Veterinary Hospital in Wakefield, RI combines hands-on clinical care with medical leadership to drive quality and mentorship across the team. As the clinical leader, you will model high standards of care, guide medical practices, and support staff development in a busy general practice.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary up to $180k with production bonuses, signing bonus up to $75k, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent is required.
• Active licensure without restrictions in the state of practice.
• Active DEA registration for practice location(s).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian; preferred 1 year leading a veterinary team.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical leadership and medical oversight at the hospital.
• Mentor and develop associate doctors and staff.
• Balance hands‑on patient care with leadership responsibilities and QoS in medical quality.
