Job summary

Global Talent Partners is seeking a Veterinary Medical Director to lead a high-quality AAHA-accredited small-animal hospital in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

This role focuses on medical leadership, mentoring clinicians, and ensuring adherence to AAHA guidelines while partnering with management on workflow and client experience. The position requires a DVM/VMD, Tennessee license, DEA eligibility, and 3+ years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited institution is required.
• License to practice veterinary medicine in Tennessee (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 3 years of small-animal clinical experience; leadership/mentoring preferred.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership, uphold AAHA guidelines.
• Mentor and develop veterinarians and clinical teams; foster collaboration.
• Oversee medical protocols, QA, and controlled substance compliance.
• Deliver high-quality clinical care: exams, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, treatment planning.
• Partner with practice management on workflow, scheduling, and client experience.
• Guide service growth and equipment decisions aligned with patient care goals.
• Participate in community outreach and client education initiatives.
