Global Talent Partners is partnering with a respected, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in the Denver metro area to recruit a Veterinary Medical Director in Dakota Ridge, CO. The role offers leadership over clinical standards and team culture within a collaborative, well-supported practice.

The position emphasizes mentoring veterinarians, maintaining high-quality patient care, and balancing clinical caseload with leadership duties. Occasional Saturday scheduling reflects community demand.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution.
• Colorado veterinary license or eligibility before start.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Proven clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery; leadership or mentoring preferred.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Willingness to work some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Set and uphold medical standards, protocols, and quality metrics across the hospital.
• Lead, mentor, and develop veterinarians and support staff; foster learning and accountability.
• Maintain an engaging clinical caseload while allocating protected time for leadership duties.
• Guide case management and coordinate with visiting specialists.
• Partner with practice management on scheduling, workflow, inventory, and client service initiatives.
• Champion AAHA standards, patient safety, and clear medical communication.
• Support community engagement and positive hospital reputation.
