AmeriVet Monadnock Animal Care Clinic seeks a Medical Director to lead clinical excellence while continuing to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive team environment.

You will partner with our Practice Manager on operations, recruit new veterinarians, and drive continuous improvements in patient care and client experience, all within NH’s Monadnock region.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.
• Active veterinary license (or ability to obtain one in New Hampshire).
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 3-5 years of small animal clinical experience.
• Previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred.
• Strong communication, client education, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital as Medical Director while continuing to practice medicine.
• Mentor and develop associate veterinarians through coaching and case collaboration.
• Establish and uphold medical standards and best practices.
• Partner with the Practice Manager on hospital operations, workflow, scheduling, and strategic initiatives.
• Help recruit and onboard future veterinarians to grow the team.
• Support regulatory compliance as the hospital's Responsible Veterinarian.
