Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Degree in Pharmacy.
• Must have 6–12 months of experience.
• Licensed Registered Pharmacist in good standing in the state of operation and other states as required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets vets orders for appropriateness and to avoid overdoses or harmful interactions.
• Dispenses prescriptions to pets per policy and counsels owners about medications.
• Maintains controls for audited drugs and prepares drug requests for delivery by technicians.
• Verifies work by support personnel and ensures accurate data entry.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge through continuing education and professional activities.
• Participates in clinical programs such as drug-level monitoring and antibiotic monitoring.
• Ensures quality of professional services is maintained.
