Job summary

Alpine Animal Clinic in Helena, Montana, is seeking a Veterinary Kennel Assistant to join our team. Our Kennel team focuses on patient care, meals and walks for boarding patients, medication administration, and observation notes.

You will help sanitize kennels and maintain stocked supplies while supporting the veterinary team. This role offers cross-training in reception to assist with client communication, scheduling, and phone coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as kennel assistant or related animal care role preferred.
• Passion for animal care and patient wellbeing.
• Ability to handle, walk and monitor dogs and cats safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide meals and walks for boarding patients.
• Administer medication and monitor for concerns.
• Sanitize kennels and treatment areas; restock supplies.
• Document observations for veterinary team.
• Cross-train in reception; assist with scheduling and phones as needed.
