Nashville Veterinary Specialists & Animal Emergency Hospital in Clarksville, TN, seeks a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internal Medicine specialist to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty team. You will manage complex internal medicine cases, perform advanced diagnostics (ultrasound, CT, endoscopy), and collaborate with surgeons and emergency clinicians for comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Board Certification in Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) or Residency Trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
• Excellent communication and client-centered approach.

• Commitment to continuous learning and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex internal medicine cases spanning GI, hepatobiliary, infectious disease, endocrine, hematologic, and respiratory conditions.
• Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures including ultrasound, CT, endoscopy, and other imaging modalities.
• Collaborate with Emergency clinicians, surgeons, and other specialty team members for comprehensive care.
• Coordinate consultations, referrals, and patient transfers across services for seamless continuity.
• Mentor technicians and staff; foster a collaborative, educational clinical environment.
• Engage in continuing education, mentorship initiatives, and hospital-wide clinical excellence.
