Job summary

GoodVets in Chicago, IL is seeking a Hospital Operations Manager to be the operational heartbeat of the hospital. You’ll run day-to-day, manage staffing, scheduling, inventory, compliance, and reporting to meet performance, financial, and client-experience targets.

You’ll lead with empathy, coach teams, implement procedures, and partner with doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard veterinary care and outstanding client service.

Qualifications

  • Proven hospital operations management experience in veterinary setting.
  • 3+ years in veterinary medicine with progressive responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Proficient with practice management systems and MS Excel.
  • Good communication and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily hospital operations and staffing.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
  • Create and maintain accurate work schedules.
  • Hire, train, onboard new team members.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports.
  • Conduct performance reviews and coaching.
  • Monitor inventory and cost control.
  • Support doctors, staff, and clients with clarity and professionalism.
