Job summary

Pet Services of Washington, P.S. is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and professional environment in a busy animal hospital. You will support infection control, patient safety, and ensure the hospital presents well to clients and staff while working around dogs, cats, and other animals.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced veterinary setting, adhering to safety protocols and PPE usage throughout daily duties.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospital, veterinary, medical, or similar cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience working around animals is preferred.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, surgical areas, kennels, employee areas, restrooms, lobby, and other hospital spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the hospital.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, doors, counters, tables, chairs, and other frequently used areas.
• Empty trash and appropriately handle waste in accordance with hospital policies and safety procedures.
• Clean and sanitize animal kennels, cages, runs, and other patient areas as assigned.
• Wear PPE and disinfectants following hospital guidelines; report spills or unsafe conditions.
