Job summary

The Pet Stop in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Administrator to oversee the business and staff aspects of a 5‑doctor practice. This 40‑hour per week onsite role reports to leadership and supports operations, HR, finance, and client care while maintaining our core values.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in multi-doctor practice management or equivalent, with a focus on improving performance, staff development, and patient service. Salary is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or AA in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience in overall operations, financial and facilities management and/or Human Resources.
• Two years of job-specific experience in a hospital management role within veterinary or human health industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hospital’s business and staff functions in partnership with leadership.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop direct-report team members; conduct evaluations.
• Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning, business development, and growth initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance and communicate results to the hospital team.
• Develop and communicate regular reports on key metrics to support decision-making.
• Oversee human resources matters, compliance, and safety programs.
