Program Overview

Northfield Veterinary Center in scenic Northfield, New Jersey, has openings for veterinary student externs at our unique veterinary practice that offers a vast array of educational opportunities. We are a full-service general practice that provides extended emergency and urgent care hours, overnight hospitalization, and specialty referral services in a fear-free certified facility.

We offer two- to eight-week externships that are based on student need. First- through fourth-year veterinary students are scheduled during varied shifts based on their interests and goals and will rotate through general practice, emergency, cardiology, and surgery. Our facility also offers complete abdominal ultrasound examinations as a referral service for clients and the community, and services for avian and exotic patients.
