Job summary

Canterbury Animal Hospital, a small boutique clinic on the border of Portland Metro and Tigard, offers a Veterinary Externship. Students work with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience gathering histories, performing exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery observation/participation, and medical management.

• Must be enrolled in a veterinary program.
• Willing to participate in clinical externship.
• Strong interest in hands-on clinical learning.

Responsibilities

• Gaining patient histories and performing physical exams.
• Assisting or performing dentistry and other procedures as available.
• Creating treatment plans and assisting in diagnostic workups.
• Medical management of patients and teamwork with supervising vet.
