Job summary

Sandwich Veterinary Hospital, part of National Veterinary Associates, offers a Veterinary Externship for veterinary students to gain hands-on clinical experience. You will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to learn how to gather histories, perform exams, and assist in or perform procedures while communicating with clients.

Externships typically run 2–8 weeks and are designed for 3rd and 4th year students. A travel/living stipend of $1,500 is available.

Qualifications

• Externship for veterinary students in the clinical portion.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Create treatment plans and perform/assist in diagnostics, dentistry, and surgeries.
