Job summary

Abqpetcarehospital in Germantown, Tennessee offers an externship for clinical-year veterinary students. This program allows students to gain valuable hands-on experience by working closely with Associate Veterinarians, gathering patient histories, and assisting in surgical procedures.

Job description

About the Externship

Students will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians at National Veterinary Associates hospital to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and managing patients medically. The externship also provides an opportunity to practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
