Job summary

MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets in Columbus, Ohio is seeking new or recent veterinary graduates for its Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program. This program provides exceptional 1:1 mentorship and specialty rotations to strengthen clinical skills in emergency medicine.

Participants will receive a full Doctor salary from day one along with benefits like a student loan repayment program and health insurance from the start. Ideal candidates are passionate about emergency veterinary care, possess strong communication skills, and hold a DVM degree.

Qualifications

• Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in Ohio.
• Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty required.
• Eager to learn and develop in emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Engage in immersive, one-on-one training to launch a career in emergency veterinary medicine.
• Participate in specialty rotations including Critical Care and Surgery.

Are you a new or recent veterinary graduate eager to make a difference in emergency medicine? MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) offers immersive, one-on-one training designed to help you confidently launch your emergency veterinary career.

Through a paid program that combines mentored ER experience with specialty rotations, you’ll strengthen your clinical skills while being supported by a collaborative, veterinarian-owned and -led network. After successfully completing ECMP, you’ll step into a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty organization dedicated to advancing care for pets.

Who We’re Looking For

• DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
• Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your assigned hospital
• Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
