Job summary

Universidad Ana G. Méndez (UAGM) School of Veterinary Medicine in Puerto Rico seeks a full-time faculty member in Veterinary Dentistry.

The role involves teaching, clinical instruction in Small Animal Internal Medicine rotations, and active curriculum development to advance competency-based education. Applicants should hold a DVM (or equivalent), with Diplomate in AVDC or dentistry residency preferred, plus a record of scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• DVM required; Diplomate or residency in Dentistry/Oral Surgery required or strongly preferred.
• Ph.D. is a plus but not required.
• Five years of clinical and/or teaching experience in veterinary medicine.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research in the specialty.
• Strong scholarly activity with publications or grant success.
• Commitment to student-centered education and innovative teaching.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lectures, labs, and seminars in veterinary dentistry.
• Mentor veterinary students and advise on academic progress.
• Collaborate to design an integrated, competency-based curriculum.
• Contribute to curriculum improvement through committees.
