Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners is seeking a technically skilled CT Technologist to support diagnostic imaging at AVSG/VSSOC in Tustin, CA. You will operate CT equipment, assist ultrasound, provide anesthesia monitoring, and work under veterinary radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging.

The role offers four 10-hour shifts with weekend rotation, in a state-of-the-art facility. Prior VT tech experience with imaging is preferred; RVT license not required for this non-credentialed imaging support

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.
• Basic familiarity with CT imaging procedures and workflow.
• Ability to safely handle and position animals for imaging.
• Proficiency running and monitoring anesthesia for sedated patients.
• Flexibility to float between departments as needed.
• Understanding and applying ALARA radiation safety principles.
• Attention to accuracy in imaging documentation and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, support sedation, and position for CT studies under supervision.
• Operate CT imaging equipment and ensure diagnostic image quality.
• Run anesthesia for imaging procedures and monitor vitals.
• Assist with ultrasound studies and support workflow.
• Maintain imaging records and proper documentation in PM system.
• Communicate schedules and prep requirements to clinical team.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and wear dosimetry as required.
• Keep CT suite clean, stocked, and operational between studies.
• Perform routine equipment quality checks and report concerns.
• Float to other departments during downtime to support patient care.
