Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Eligible to sit for board certification in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC).
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in South Carolina (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Demonstrated exceptional clinical skills in emergency medicine and critical care.
  • Outstanding diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities in complex and high‑pressure situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to providing the highest quality and most timely patient care.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a leader within a fast‑paced, collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in maintaining meticulous and accurate medical records.
  • Exceptional ability to handle highly stressful situations with composure, leadership, and efficiency.
Preferred (considered a plus)
  • Board Certification in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC).
  • Experience in a leadership or mentorship role within an emergency and critical care department.

  • Experience with electronic medical record systems.
