Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Clinical Trial Manager, Veterinary Medicine, to oversee all phases of veterinary clinical studies. Responsibilities include site recruitment, monitoring, study execution, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and GCP guidelines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in science/health and 5+ years’ veterinary trial management experience, with strong collaboration across R&D, regulatory, and external partners. Hybrid Indianapolis location with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or health related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in veterinary clinical trial management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee all phases of veterinary clinical trials, including study initiation, site recruitment and training, monitoring, execution, close-out, and SOP compliance.
• Support study delivery through protocol and final report review, data capture design, QA/audit responses, risk management, and trial data quality improvements.
• Partner with R&D, commercial teams, external partners, and clinical sites to ensure alignment of timelines and quality.
• Support regulatory and operational activities, including FDA/USDA inspections, regulator communications, budgeting, contracting, and vendor oversight.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to study monitors and staff while contributing to a high-performing team culture.
