Job summary

Manhattan Veterinary Group, P.C. seeks a dedicated Kennel Assistant / Housekeeping Worker to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe clinic environment.

You will clean exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areas; care for boarding patients; handle waste and supplies; and support staff while ensuring infection control and animal safety.

This role requires reliability, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and a team-oriented attitude; weekend or evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or veterinary/medical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and waiting areas.
• Care for boarding patients.
• Disinfect surfaces and equipment per clinic protocols.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
• Manage waste, PPE, and cleaning supplies.
• Launder linens and bedding for patients.
• Report maintenance issues to management.
• Assist with stocking cleaning supplies and clinic materials.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures while handling animals.
• Support staff to maintain a welcoming environment for clients and pets.
