Job summary

Suveto is seeking a veterinary technician to support licensed veterinarians with medical and diagnostic procedures. The role includes preparing exam rooms, taking client histories, and performing in-house lab tests, venipuncture, and nursing care for hospital patients.

The technician will assist in anesthesia, imaging, and operative procedures, educate clients on preventive care, and help ensure accurate medical records and compliant safety practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in assisting vets with exams and procedures.
• Record observations clearly in medical records.
• Maintain client communication and education about care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist doctors during appointments.
• Take histories from clients and perform physical assessments.
• Perform venipuncture and in-house lab tests; send samples to outside labs as needed.
• Provide nursing care and monitor admitted patients, including meds and fluids.
• Manage admissions/discharges and educate clients on procedures.
• Clean and restock rooms and treatment areas; maintain safety standards.
• Place IV catheters and assist in anesthesia and OR procedures.
• Conduct diagnostic imaging as requested and assist with tech appointments.
• Communicate findings and follow up with clients as directed.
