Job summary

The Vet Service in Bohemia, NY seeks a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Cardiologist to join an established specialty and emergency setting. You will access MRI, CT, ultrasound and in-house labs to deliver advanced care for complex cases.

Work closely with a cardiologist and other specialists, fostering strong referral relationships. Leadership opportunities are available for experienced specialists seeking broader responsibility.

Qualifications

• Must hold DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school.
• Complete a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency care.
• Complete a three-year AVMA-approved residency in cardiology.
• Active veterinary license with DEA registration.
• Board certification is preferred; post-residency cardio experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced cardiovascular care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, internists, neurology and other specialists.
• Develop referral relationships and lead specialist initiatives.
